Hi-Tech Solutions is recruiting for a Systems Analyst to gather and analyze business requirements, policies, and procedures to determine improvements to existing business software applications, or to develop new business software applications.

Responsibilities:Create program specifications, diagrams, and test plans/cases. Produce software code and execute the test plan/cases, to create a business software application that satisfies the user’s needs and requirements. Investigate, research, and resolve problems with business software applications and/or data. Consult with users to gather information about business applications needs, objectives, functions, features, and input and output requirements. Analyze, define, and document requirements for data, workflow, logical processes, interfaces with other systems, internal and external checks and controls, and outputs. Write and maintain technical specifications. Analyze and estimate time and resource needs necessary for successful development and implementation of business software solution(s). Develop and maintain plans outlining steps and timetables for developing business software solution(s). Research and evaluate technically related software to assist in software development or to use as software development/maintenance platforms. Design and code screen layouts, graphical user interfaces, outputs (printed or electronic), and interfaces with other business applications. Convert designs and specifications into software code. Create test plans and test scripts that are run to ensure and confirm that software developed meets the user requirements and the technical specifications. Analyze code to find causes of errors and revise software. Consult with users to prototype, refine, test, and debug programs to meet the user requirements. Write and maintain documentation to describe software development, logic, coding, testing, changes, and corrections. Write documentation or review documentation written by others that describe installation and operating procedures. Provide technical assistance by responding to inquiries from others regarding errors, problems, or questions about business applications (IE Lawson, Aptify, Raiser’s Edge) and/or technical software used in developing business applications. (IE Crystal Reports, SQL, VB) Train end users or technical support staff, on the use of the software applications developed and implemented.

Educations & Experience:Bachelor’s degree (B.A. or B.S) (Area of study preferred – Information Technology) Minimum of 5 to 7 years of software development experience using SQL, VB, Crystal Reports, .NET technologies, C#, JavaScript, visual Studio, Visual SourceSafe, Transact SQL, and Query Analyzer. 5 years experience working with ERP system (SQL based preferred)
