This current Black Belt position calls for an individual with program management skills, and/or business development and general business experience. The person in this position will be the primary facilitator of the AES Compliance Improvement Priority and EDO Integration activities, including the coordination of related efforts regarding AES Program Management process development and other related Process Improvement initiatives. General VBSS Information: A VBSS Black Belt is responsible for leading and managing the dynamics of cross-functional process-improvement projects. Working closely with all levels of the organization, he/she will present project status to Champion and AES Senior Staff on a regular basis. In the Black Belt capacity, an individual may also coach and mentor Green Belts on Six Sigma tools. The VBSS Black Belt is responsible for maintaining project timelines, schedules and metrics with respect to improvement activities. In order to become a certified VBSS Black Belt, one is required to complete Black Belt training (4 weeks), Increased Leadership Effectiveness training (1 week) and successfully complete a training project and Kaizen event, coinciding with the Black Belt training. Additionally, the Black Belt candidate must complete a follow-on project before formal certification.
