What We’re Looking For
Monitor Group is seeking a dynamic, results-oriented Web Managing Editor to own the online experience at Monitor.com and affiliated country-specific websites. Reporting to the Managing Director, Group Marketing, the successful candidate will have strong writing and editorial skills, directly relevant web management experience, and be knowledgeable about content strategy, interactive marketing approaches, and usability theory and practices. Major responsibilities for this role include:
· Lead company’s online strategy development and ensure alignment with business goals
· Collaborate with the Executive Team, IT, Recruiting, and other stakeholders to execute website updates and develop a best-in-class user experience for clients, prospects, and recruits
· Work with Business Unit and Global Geography Heads to represent Monitor’s intellectual property effectively online globally
· Report on key performance indicators measured by web analytics tools, and recommend enhancements
· Manage outbound online marketing efforts, such as the email newsletter
· Manage Monitor’s overall web presence beyond Monitor.com including search engine performance and third party websites (e.g., Wikipedia)
· Manage daily functions of website’s CMS system including content, functionality and editorial processes for submitting and approving content
· Provide leadership on best practices for online user experiences
Requirements
· Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
· 7+ years of web editorial management experience
· Confidence working with senior leadership team
· Extensive knowledge of web technologies, user interface best practices, web design, and web content development (including video, podcasts, webinars)
· Outstanding written, editorial and oral communications skills
· Independent and self-directed, with solid problem-solving abilities
· Strong attention to detail, strong project management skills, and ability to meet deadlines
