JOB SUMMARY

Basic Job Description:

(SAM) = Strategic Area Manager, responsible for identifying and closing business opportunities in an idefined territory, working with Inside Sales, Program Management, Business Development, and all company resources.

 

 ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The SAM is responsible for the overall revenue in the territory, but the focus is on finding and closing profitable business in strategic accounts, typically in large, multi-level selling scenarios. The typical region requires limited travel and most of the SAM’s time will be spent in front of customers and prospects.

 

 

EXPERIENCE

The successful SAM candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of outside strategic sales experience with account / territory revenue responsibility, and a demonstrated track record of closing deals and growing business.  Having a technical degree is highly desirable and experience with a major company in the embedded computing industry is a must.
