The Packaging Supervisor works together with the Warehouse Manager and Scheduler to accomplish the packaging needs of the Planners.  The Packaging Supervisor is responsible for the day to day running of the Packaging and Private Label Lines.  This person also insures that all the necessary supplies are available (ribbon, tape, gloves, etc…).  Supervisor also coordinates with the Private Label Order Coordinator (PLOC) for the smooth running of the Private Label Line. Hours are 2:30 p.m. - 11:00 p.m. with occasional overtime.

Condition of employment requires knowledge and conformance to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) as applicable to the position.

Examples of Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for all day to day activities of both Packaging and Private Label Line operations for optimum productivity
• Assist Manager in sequencing shop orders on each Line to achieve optimum productivity and minimum down-time
• Assist Manager in the training and development of department personnel to insure depth of qualified Line Operators and optimum operation/use of each piece of equipment
• Assist Manager overseeing the timely and proper maintenance of all Line Equipment
• Assist Manager in scheduling of all Packaging employees
• Assist Manager in disciplinary action related to all Packaging employees
• Assist Manager in the hiring of all temporary and regular employees as needed
• Assist Manager in confirming payroll hours of all Packaging employees
• Problem solving for both Packaging and Private Label lines
• Ordering of all Packaging supplies and insuring an adequate in-stock level at all times
