2nd Shift Shipping Lead

Omron Electronics is looking for an energetic and focused 2nd Shift Shipping Lead to provide direction and support for warehouse associates as well as back-up support for the shift Supervisor including training, assignment and review of work.  This position is also responsible for the final shipping and manifesting of outbound shipments.

 

Responsibilities:

· Act as member of management team by distributing workflow and allocating resources.

· Understand and promote the key objectives and philosophies of the Company as they relate to the Distribution Center.

· Regularly assign, review, and check work of other employees within a functional area.

· Provide technical, training, and problem-solving resources.

· Provide input for performance reviews and make salary review recommendations. 

· Continually responsible for housekeeping and safety.

· Contributes ideas and suggestions for continuous improvement to the distribution processes.

· Demonstrate a commitment to Total Quality and sensitivity to the needs of all customers.

Requirements:High School Degree or equivalent.Minimum of three (3) to five (5) years of general warehouse experience and knowledge of a business work environment.Ability to lift up to 20 pounds. Knowledge of the operation of power/mobile equipment.Basic product knowledge.Ability to read, write, and understand the English language.Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing using the English language.Basic knowledge of addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.Ability to interpret and utilize procedures in written, oral, and diagram form.Strong relationship builder and a strong personal desire to win.Ability to multi-task and work cross functionally.Strong organization skills.Team player mentality, but able to work independently as required.Strong interpersonal, listening, questioning, and communication skills (written and oral).
