With facilities located in California, Illinois, Rhode Island, and Mexico, Pentair Electronic Packaging is structured for success. Supporting role to the Controller. Working within team environment with specific focus on General Accounting, Fixed Asset, Financial Planning and Analysis Duties. In addition, may provide support for the Divisional FP&A Manager for weekly & monthly reporting along with Hyperion special project assignments. Responsibilities: · Coordinate the monthly closing process including producing financial statement within the 2 day closing cycle. This includes journal entry accuracy and cash reconciliation review. · Responsible for maintaining inter-company accounts with other subsidiaries. · Supervise the general accounting staff. · Conduct monthly Fixed Asset Review with Operations team specifically following through on pending documentation for CIP additions and retirements of assets. Publishing monthly reporting, depreciation, budgets and forecasts. Perform post audits on CIP. · Maintain and publish departmental budget analysis. · Analyze freight accounts to track outbound freight paid but not collected from customers, and recommend actions to reduce costs. · Support Monthly SoX compliance to red flag issues and build Internal Audit data base: annual review. This includes performing monthly sample audits with supporting details and write-up for compliance issues. · Monthly GL reconciliations -Analyze reserve accounts for adequacy and develop/recommend procedures and controls to accurately track and report significant expenses. · Maintain the permanent contractual files for leases and other long term contracts. · Assist in annual budgeting process, including but not limited to the creation of supporting schedules. · Participate in organizing annual tax return requirements from Corporate Office. · Assist in policy and procedure development and manage the financial policy and procedure database. · Audit payroll, reports and payroll tax returns. · Continual focus on departmental process improvements. Requirements: Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA, CMA or MBA a plus. At least 5 years in a position in a fast-paced, high volume manufacturing environment. Must have ERP system experience – Accounting and Fixed asset module. Proficient with Excel, Word, Access and AS400 query. Strong oral/written communication skills. Must be detailed oriented, have an analytical aptitude for numbers and be able to handle multiple priorities. Must be able to communicate effectively with personnel at all levels, along with working cross-functionally to advance organization financial objectives. Must be able to work independently with minimum supervision and is a self motivated, team player possessing a results-oriented attitude.
