ACCOUNTS PAYABLE SUPERVISOR

We are looking for Accounts Payable Supervisor candidates with 3-5+ years accounts payable and job costing experience.  Only highly qualified and motivated candidates should apply.

 

Duties:

Verifying, code, and approve or obtain approval for high volume of invoices to jobs.

Coding invoices accurately to general ledger accounts.

Recognition of prepaid expenses and able to properly code or create schedule

Reconciliations: A/P postings to and from job cost and general ledger.

Prepare month-end accruals and provide explanation

Work with Purchasing to obtain the best payment terms.

Work with Purchasing to verify correct job and general ledger postings.

Pays vendors by monitoring discount opportunities, cash flow, and payment terms.

Verifying federal ID numbers; scheduling

Running A/P reports, including but not limited to aging reports

Reviewing & resolving purchase orders issues

Review vendor contracts, invoice, or payment discrepancies and documentation

Insuring credit is received for outstanding credit memos

Issuing stop-payments or purchase order amendments.

Prepare Daily Cash Reports and other reports as needed.

Verify proper sales tax and re-sale issues

Weekly check runs or print checks as required.

Recurring payment management

Accurate posting of capital leases

Month end reconciliations

Year end 1099 processing and transmittal

Vendor relations and communication

Obtain approval for subcontractor payments, and change orders

Expense report and check request processing

Experience with preliminary and Lien releases

Inter-company and Multi-company experience

Able to deal with subcontractors, supplies, project personnel, and multiple job projects

Reconcile billable and non-billable charges to projects

Run various reports to review accuracy, make corrections prior to posting A/P and Job Cost

Other duties and special projects by management

 

Skills/Qualifications;

Mandatory 3-5+ year’s hands-on “Supervision” Construction/Job Cost experience

AA Degree or higher with accounting classes

Intermediate Excel, Word, Outlook

Excellent Attention to Detail and Accuracy

Good communication.

Supervisory experience of clerical staff (construction related)

Timberline Accounts Payable a definite plus!

Timberline Payroll job cost experience a plus! (additional base increase)
