AR Analyst

A Fortune 500 multi-industry manufacturing leader is establishing a financial shared services center in the Chicago O’Hare area. We are seeking key individuals to help with the design, implementation and transition the financial shared services center.



 

The Accounts Receivable Analyst will be responsible for performing all aspects of the Accounts Receivable cycle and provide general accounting support. The Accounts Receivable Analyst/Assistant will be responsible for processing billing to customers, applying payments to customer accounts, releasing orders from credit hold, and performing credit reviews on new/existing customers.  Secondary duties include, but are not limited to, assisting in collection of past due/problem accounts, researching and resolving short/over payments, processing credit/debit memos, reconciliations and month end closing duties.  Act as a liaison between internal Sales Department and outside collection agency to assist in collection of accounts. 

 

The successful candidate will have:

 

-One year certificate from college or technical school and 2 – 5 years related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

 

-Knowledge and significant exposure to major ERP systems.  SAP experience a plus.

 

-Understanding of Accounts Payable

 

-Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to communicate cross-functionally with all levels

 

-Willing to travel periodically
