AS400 EDI Senior Application Analyst

Location: Luynchburg, VA 24501 Employment Type: Full Time, Employee Pay Rate: 55,000.00 - 65,000.00 USD /year The Application Analyst will perform support activities for midrange AS400 and distributed client desktop applications. This includes implementation, configuration, maintenance and security relating to the use of the applications within the enterprise.   Responsibilities· Understand how applications support business processes and develop support tools and procedures around these needs· Review service and support metrics to address application/system performance issues · Administers and monitors the procedures used to create, modify and manage client accounts.· Maintains the integrity and continuity of the processing environment. · Analyze client issues and recommend appropriate solutions to optimize efficiency · Create new policies and change existing policies where needed based on current and future needs· Develop training curriculum and provide individual and group training programs · Establishes and maintain a positive working relationship with all enterprise departments to optimize working relationships and communication. · After-hours support may be required in order to restore interrupted critical business processes. Requirements:· Hands on AS 400 experience· Report query tool knowledge· EDI Systems support experience· Experience with large scale ERP systems such as SAP or JDE· Working knowledge of Desktop Client applications · Troubleshooting/analytical skills, Good communication skills, Strong customer service acing skills· Candidate must possess excellent non-verbal communication skills.
