Account Executive

Stanley Proto, a business unit in Stanley’s Industrial Tools division, is a manufacturer of the most durable professional industrial trade tools available.  Proto® Tools are preferred worldwide among professionals for their outstanding quality, durability, and dependability. They are used for heavy-duty industrial applications, including auto-manufacturing plants, steel and airplane manufacturing, chemical plants, refineries, general manufacturing, transportation, and fleet maintenance for trucking, transit, and aircraft. With a global distribution network, Proto® Tools are available on-the-job, anywhere in the world.  We are currently searching for an Account Executive dedicated to our largest distribution partner.

 

Detailed requirements of the position are thoroughly explained below and are intended to provide a summary of the nature of the position and qualifications required.

 

Objectives:To drive profitable sales growthService, maintain, and develop Stanley relationship with W.W. GraingerActively pursue new opportunities for Stanley Industrial Tools and Vidmar Storage Systems within Grainger in conjunction with plan

 

Responsibilities:

1. Sales Large end user accounts focusNational Accounts including AutomotiveState and Local Government Federal GovernmentGeographically important industriesConduct regional industry trend analysisConduct regional competitive analysisIncorporate Vidmar territory managers and products into sales processFacilitate and train account managers on the Stanley value package

2. PlanningQuarterly review and planning meetings with each DSM and the RSVPTarget and pursue large end usersTarget Snap-On, Armstrong and Craftsman conversion opportunities Point person for SP regional territory managers on Grainger initiativesResponsible for driving Grainger initiative to the field level

3. MarketingIntroduce and promote featured PSF products and hot buysDrive Grainger corporate initiativesCreate and implement local promotions/flyersIntroduce new products to account managers and branch staffDirect mailings and e-mail PDF filesFacilitate sales blitz events and on site events throughout the region

4. Branch StoresQuarterly review and planning meetings with each DBSMStreamline and facilitate new display and merchandising processesContinually work with Field Inventory Specialists to support and grow salesFacilitate new product introductions to key branch staffCoordinate participation in branch selling eventsFacilitate and train branch staff on the Stanley value package

 

5. CommunicationsFacilitate and train account managersProvide Distributor training as necessaryMaintain a regular and thorough communications effectively within both Stanley and Grainger

6. ReportingCreate and maintain Quarterly diagonalTimely submission of Monthly Reports as outlined by Regional Manager

 

Essential Skills & Experience:Previous experience with Grainger as a clientProven track record of sales growth and development3-5 years previous sales experienceAbility to demonstrate proactive and creative sales planning and implementationSelf-motivated to meet specific sales goalsStrong listening, negotiating, and prospecting skillsStrong interpersonal and communication skillsStrong understanding of cost/price relationship and margin calculationsHands on experience with PC’s including MS Office, Outlook, Word, Excel.BS/BA: Marketing, Business or other management major preferredStrong organizational skills
