Account Manager I - Industrial Sales

ESCO Corporation is a global manufacturer of engineered metal wearparts and components for industrial applications. The principal industries ESCO serves include mining, construction, power generation and aerospace. The Account Manager will work with District Managers, assigned accounts, agents, internal and external customers in North America, as a member of the Industrial Products Division at ESCO Corporation.

This position will be assigned to work from the ESCO Portland offices and reports to the General Manager of Industrial Castings.

The Account Manager will be a self starter who can work independently to maintain and grow a well established customer base. Exhibits demonstrated specialized product knowledge and technical skills. Must demonstrate consistently, advanced problem solving and solid decision making skills.

Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Business, Economics or Engineering is preferred, although other backgrounds and relevant industry experience will be considered. 5 to 7 years experience in technical sales of industrial products, metals or applications.

Strong knowledge and user skills in MS Office, Sales Logix, Agile and Oracle Applications. Excellent math skills and experience pricing products, including negotiating price.

Excellent interpersonal skills demonstrated through written and verbal communication Proficient organizational and time management skills to multi-task and prioritize multiple customer inquiries simultaneously.

Other Information: A flexible daily work schedule is required. Up to 25% travel required.
