The primary responsibility is to support the Applied Fluid Technology Division's Management Accountant by providing assistance in preparation of financial and operational reports and analysis, the planning process, and other projects as necessary. Provide ad hoc reports when needed to support business decisions related to sales, margins, service levels, product development, spending and capital investments. Administer rebate and marketing programs. Assist in enforcing Corporate Management and Accounting Policies and helps maintain controls over divisional assets.


Responsibilities:

· Assist the management accountant with development and data input of the strategic and annual financial plan including the annual sales plan, COGS, operating expenses, staffing planning, and capital investment.

· Calculate and administer distributor commissions approval process for the AFTD Division.

· Calculate and administer any rebate or other promotions in the AFTD Division.

· Prepare territory sales analysis and assist in the calculation of sales incentives.

· Calculate and enter journal entries for the AFTD Division, including but not limited to: finders fees, Tech Center and product development allocations, advertising accruals, and miscellaneous engineering cleanup.

· Prepare monthly accrual account reconciliations for the AFTD division.

· Assist in reporting monthly sales, margins, expenses, and contribution for the AFTD Division.

· Run and distribute the monthly expense budgets as needed.

· Update and maintain various department lists, user roll-ups, mainframe, and grouper table territory and account assignments.

· Prepare Bookings, Billings, and Backlog for the AFTD Division.

· Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to develop and implement streamlines accounting systems, processes, and procedures.

· Maintain procedures documentation.

· Monitor and track capital expenditure projects to ensure that spending does not exceed approved levels.

 

Qualifications:

· Two year accounting degree in Accounting or equivalent.

· Two to four years of experience in Accounting.

· Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills.

· Ability to interface effectively with all organizational levels.

· Excellent problem solving ability and demonstrated organizational, analytical, planning and execution skills.

· Demonstrated performance working independently, being proactive, and taking initiative to achieve desired results.

· Excellent written and oral communication skills.

· Strong attention to detail.

· Strong personal computer skills, including proficiency in Excel.
