The A/P Analyst will act primarily as a customer relationship manager for key IR customers of the Davidson Accounts Payable department. Specifically, he/she will work with A/P customers to realize the benefits associated with outsourcing Accounts Payable and to reduce the business risks caused by poor A/P performance by increasing first pass yield and reducing aged invoice volumes.
As an accounts payable expert and someone knowledgeable of the Procure to Pay process, the A/P Analyst will lead local process changes and improvements and test new technologies and techniques for accounts payable processing. Successful projects will then be rolled out to all IR businesses.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
-Customer Service Manager for Davidson A/P customers
-Problem Resolution
-Serve as change agent by analyzing data and performing problem identification, root cause analysis, and solution development.
-Monitor and manage service level agreements with the customers
-Meet regularly with customers needing assistance with A/P issues
-Train new employees / new users on how to properly process receipts and invoices within the ACS environment
-Interact regularly with IR and ACS technical personnel to solve local A/P related issues
-Monitor SSNA Help Line 704-655-5507 ensuring customer inquiries and issues are addressed timely in accordance with service level agreements.
-Actively participate in weekly ACS conference calls acting as the liaison between those Industrial Technology business units we support and ACS, driving problem resolution and process improvements.
Lead testing of process and technical changes
-Act as the lead A/P module tester for Oracle upgrades
-Validate the benefits of enhancements identified in enterprise-wide process improvement workouts by piloting and measuring the impact of enhancements within the Davidson A/P customer base.
-Monitor and recommend further testing, changes or implementations to the A/P Team Lead.
-Develop instructions to implement successful improvements and advise business units during implementation.
ACS Managed Initiatives
-Develop and maintain iPS (ACS invoice processing tool) training program
-Monitor interface files ensuring any issues are resolved timely between ACS and Ingersoll Rand legacy system.
Invoice and Credit Processing
-Monitor and work accounts payable queues owned by the A/P team to service level agreements

SOX Compliance
-Work Goods Received Not Invoiced in accordance with SOX requirements ensuring no SOX gaps exists.
-Ensure desktop procedures are documented and updated timely with any changes. Cross train with the AP team by reviewing procedures quarterly.
Provide Back-Up Support for the following functionalities:
-Check Runs
-Provide back-up support in the timely processing of accounts payable check runs for Ingersoll Rand corporate center and those Industrial Technology business units we support.

-Conversion of ideas to measurable action items that will be executed in a disciplined manner

Formal Education Requirement:
Four Year Degree Required
Accounts Payable experience required
Oracle, PeopleSoft experience and/or MFG Pro experience a big plus
Minimum Years of Experience Necessary: 5-7
