Accounts Payable Associate

General Summary:
Responsible for processing invoices, including ingredients, plant maintenance, administration and retail stores. Process high volume of invoices to meet established deadlines while following Godivas Invoice Authorization Policy and Fixed Asset control procedures. Share responsibility for the weekly check run and incoming /out-going mail.

Principal Accountibilities:
1. 60% - Process invoices
2. 20% - Ensure invoices have the appropriate authorizations
3. 10% - Research invoice payment status for vendors and the various Godiva divisions
4. 5% - Administer the weekly check run
5. 5% - Process the office incoming / out-going mail

Job Complexity:
* Troubleshoot the check run process as various technical difficulties arise.
* Determine the best way to correct various errors that occur during invoice processing.
* Schedule daily tasks in such a way that established deadlines can be met.
* Create an Excel spreadsheet that can be used to allocate an invoice to various.
* Reconcile receipts of inventory from various locations against one consolidated invoice.
* Work closely with co-workers in receiving to resolve errors that occur during the receipt of inventory.
* Download freight charges into Excel from the internet-based Trendtools application. Manipulate Excel spreadsheet into a format that can be uploaded in the general ledger.
