JOB DESCRIPTIONATK Commercial Products, a division of ATK, is a leader in the design, manufacture, and distribution of ammunition and shooting accessories.This positionsupports the ATK Federal Cartridge company that islocated in our Anoka, MNfacility and will report to the Director, Supply Chain.Principle accountabilities include:--Responsible for procurement of somewhat complex commodities, supplies and services at the lowest total cost consistent with quality specifications and required dates. --Interfaces with vendors and in-house personnel as necessary to negotiate price and delivery. --Establishes and maintains ethical relationships with existing and potential suppliers. --Manages bid process by reviewing requisitions, selecting reliable sources, requesting bids, evaluating quotes, and making final vendor selection. --Purchases materials in sufficient lead times to prevent material shortages. --Investigates and evaluates new sources of supply; makes recommendations. --Processes discrepant materials and makes proper disposition of rejected items. --Approves invoice exceptions for payment in accordance with governing policies and procedures. EXPERIENCE & EDUCATIONRequired: --B.A. or related degree --Minimum 6 years experienceprocuring maintenance, repair and operating (MRO) supplies Desired: --Previous procurement experience in a manufacturing environment --CPM certificationAPPLY NOW: Please apply online at www.atk.com/careers under job requisition #2204.
