Helac Corporation, located in beautiful Enumclaw, is looking for a part-time Administrative Assistant to join our HR team to support our continued growth. We are a non-aerospace machine shop that manufactures our own product line of hydraulic rotary actuators. Our product is used in a wide variety of mobile equipment in many different industries worldwide.


Work Summary

This position will provide extensive clerical and administrative support to the Human Resources Department using MS Word, Excel, Access and other human resources databases. This part-time position will work a morning shift M – F approx. 20 hrs. a week.

Description of Work Performed:Provide administrative support in the Human Resources Department by participating in the research, documentation, organization, storage and retrieval of departmental information. Posts data, writes and generates reports using a variety of HRIS databases. Enters time and attendance information for the preparation of payroll processing. Assists in team member recruitment and selection process. Schedules appointments for conferences and company social functions. Assist in company sponsored lunches and other team member events. Runs and distributes scheduled vacation reports to managers and supervisors. Prepares and distributes administrative policies and procedures and employment related information such as acknowledgments, memos, and work schedules. Assists with other HR projects and research as necessary. Actively participates in company-sponsored training programs. Provide assistance to the company’s full-time receptionist. Perform other duties or special projects as requested.

Essential Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities RequiredMinimum of 2-3 years related office experience and/or training. Advanced word processing, spreadsheet, and database operations required using the following Microsoft software programs: Word, Excel and Access. Strong keyboarding and data entry skills with speed and accuracy. The ability to read and comprehend moderately complex verbal and written instructions. Basic math skills as acquired with a high school diploma. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including telephone etiquette. The ability to maintain confidentiality at all times, and keeps secure confidential data and records. The ability to work with a high degree of attention to detail. The ability to operate a wide variety of office equipment including but not limited to copy machines, fax machine, keyboard, printers, and 10-key in order to complete the duties listed above. The ability to maintain working relationships with all levels of Helac staff as well as outside contacts including vendors, customers, and applicants.
