Providing temperature-controlled environments for food and other perishables are essential in today’s global market. Through our Climate Control Technologies sector and Thermo King and Hussmann brands, we provide global solutions for the transportation and retail refrigeration market.





We are currently seeking an experienced Aftermarket Engineer at our Minneapolis, MN location.



This position encompasses the following :

This position will be responsible for the design of electronic aftermarket products and options. This position is also responsible for testing and approving replacement electrical parts for older units, when the originally specified parts are no longer available. The position requires an understanding of electronics, electrical wiring, 3 phase AC circuits, and low voltage control circuitry. The individual will support manufacturing efforts at facilities in the NAD and International Divisions. The individual will provide electrical and electronic design support to the department as well as being responsible for cost improvements across the product line.

Apply technical and practical knowledge of electrical engineering fundamentals to create excellent products that meet reliability, schedule, cost, and quality goals.
Evaluate/test systems and components for reliability, safety and performance and make recommendations.
Identify and develop necessary relationships with TK & Hussmann personnel (sales, marketing, management, manufacturing, supply management, service and engineering) as well as vendors and outside technical resources. Use these relationships for business needs as well as personal development.
Maintain orderly project records and unit bills of material. Communicate and document work progress as required through verbal and written means.
Value and integrate conflicting worldwide input into critical decisions.
Maintain current technical skills and understanding of professional standards. Take responsibility for the continuing development of his/her career.
Take responsibility for cost improvements across the truck, trailer container, genset, PG, and Hussmann aftermarket product lines.



Qualifications :

Requirements for this position include a BS in Electrical Engineering including exposure to 3 phase electronic and power electrical circuits.
2 years work experience preferred.
Must be willing to travel to Thermo King & Hussmann’s worldwide manufacturing facilities
Multi-lingual abilities are a plus.
