Analyst, IT Division

Job Summary –  Responsible for supporting the infrastructure, including network, telecommunications, voicemail, desktop and laptop hardware and software technologies. Candidate will have primary responsibility of the areas above and provide secondary support to others. General Functions –  § Provide support for computers, printers, plotters, modems, network adapter cards, monitors, file servers and other local area network related hardware, desktop and network operating systems, and custom software, and other equipment and software as required.  § Plan, support, administer, and develop tasks related to one or more of the key Zimmer desktop and or network based systems.§ Identify and evaluate system requirements from acquisition to upgrade to replacement.§ Provide technical support during weekends and off hours 24 hour support on a rotational basis. This is not an exhaustive list of duties or functions and may not necessarily comprise all of the "essential functions" for purposes of the ADA. Expected Areas of Competence (i.e. KSAs) –§ Demonstrates strong organizational skills and is a detail-oriented self-starter with the ability to work independently.§ Responds to customer request with a sense of urgency and meets all assigned deadlines.§ Display strong interpersonal skills and communicates clearly and concisely both verbally and in writing.§  Possess the ability to build to build relationships with other areas of the organization.§ Can independently grasps and resolves complex issues.  Uses logic and methods to solve difficult problems with effective solutions.   Education/Experience Requirements:Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems Computer Science is required, with a minimum of two years experience in computer maintenance and support. Skill Requirements:Must have experience with standard software in use at Zimmer including Microsoft Office Suite, Novell NetWare and PowerPoint.  Must have experience working with desktop operating systems including Windows XP, 2000, NT, 98, and 95, DOS, and Macintosh.  Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. without restrictions.  Must have experience with PC hardware and peripheral equipment to address problems and install. Experience preferred: Databases, PDAs, specially Blackberries and palm devices, Cisco switches, network monitoring software, telecoms, server hardware, and Mitel PBS.  Travel Requirements: Occasionally: 5% Education: AssociatesJob Level: 3 - 5 yearsPercent Travel: 1-10%
