Application Engineer - Membrane Filtration

F. B. Leopold, our facility doing business in the North Pittsburgh area for over 80 years as a leading supplier of water and wastewater treatment equipment is seeking to fill the following position immediately:

 Application Engineer – Membrane Filtration

The primary responsibility will be to support the tendering process for engineered membrane filtration processes, including customer liaison, job-specific conceptual design, proposal preparation, and cost estimating.  The successful candidate will have a BS in Engineering - Mechanical/Civil/Chemical preferred.  A minimum of 2 years of experience designing mechanical processes and piping systems, preferably membrane filtration systems, is required.  Specialized knowledge necessary is:Knowledge of UF/MF/NF/RO filtration systems and processesStrong understanding of piping systems, pumping, and hydraulicsProficiency using AutoCAD, MS Office, membrane projection software from various vendors, and pump selection software.Strong technical writing and verbal/written communication skillsAbility to meet quick-turn workload demands and effectively focus on multiple projects with shifting priorities.

 Domestic and international travel (up to 10%) required.
