Application Engineer - Turbo Upgrades

Application Engineer: Responsible to develop technical and commercial value based solutions for turbo upgrade opportunities.

An Application Engineer selects equipment and solutions for various applications that meets or exceeds client expectations, fully encompasses DR technology advantage and exceeds competitive offerings in the marketplace.
Prepares proposals that provide an accurate and complete scope of supply, cost analysis, commercial terms and content for assigned projects. Provides professional and timely proposals with information that is in support of organizational goals and business unit objectives.
Participates and provides input to strategy and action plan to develop opportunities from inquiry to order capture. Including technical presentations and negotiations in support of selling efforts. Demonstrates effectiveness in communication and teamwork to accomplish organizational goals.

Requires BSME degree in engineering or equivalent four-year degree. Knowledge of rotating machinery and/or energy industry processes helpful.

Application Engineers directly support turbo upgrade order capture activities.

PROBLEM SOLVING:
Develop turbo upgrade opportunities for optimal performance and reliability.
Analyze mechanical hardware requirements
Develop job strategies and commercial solutions.

KNOWLEDGE:
Client facing skills. Microsoft Office software. Basic understanding of vibration & rotor dynamic principles. Basic compressor thermodynamic performance knowledge.

ADDITIONAL POSITION SPECIFICATIONS and or Specific for this opportunity: Good interpersonal skills. Works closely with client facing organization, product design, drafting, and manufacturing personnel. Some travel required.
