Area HR Generalist - Chicago

The Area Human Resources Generalist is responsible for performing all HR related functions

including recruiting, employee relations, benefits for the employee population in the assigned region. 

Reports to the Area Human Resources Manager.

 

MULTI-SITE OPERATION experience preferred.  Also would consider candidates with heavy industry, construction or extensive manufacturing background.

 

SOME KNOWLEDGE IN LABOR RELATIONS, EMPLOYEE RELATIONS IS A PLUS!

 

Responsibilities:Respond to employee questions, identify commonly asked employee questions and send out communication addressing questionsConduct employee relations audits and employee satisfaction surveys.Generate HR reports in J.D. Edwards software system as neededGenerate all employment action notices for new hires, terminations, pay status changes, address changes and other necessary formsFacilitate the affirmative action plan process, EEO reports, other government reports annuallyPerform other duties and assignments as required

 

Skills and QualificationsBachelor’s degree (B.A.) or equivalent from four-year college or university; or at least five years solid progressive HR experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experienceMust have computer proficiency in word processing, spreadsheets, and database management systems and/or HR database systems including PeopleSoft, JD Edwards, SAP, etc.  Must be able to work autonomously PHR/SPHR preferred
