Area Manager - Paper Machine / Pulp Dryer

We are recruiting a top-performing Area Manager – Paper Machine / Pulp Dryer for a leading pulp and paper company.  Our client offers a solid history, impressive holdings, and is the world’s leading producer of its specialty products.

 

The Area Manager will provide technical expertise and team facilitation of 24 hourly personnel in the daily operation of the pulp machine and associated equipment.  The manager will ensure the safe and effective machine operation to maximize financial returns through management of production, environmental compliance, capital improvements, and quality/customer satisfaction.

 

 

Requirements:

 BS Degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.10+ years Pulp and Paper Machine supervisory experience.Extensive technical knowledge of pulp machine/paper machine/pulp dryer operations, production systems, and reliability and quality systems.Proven leadership and facilitation skills.Proven success leading a safety program.Proven ability to define and optimize a production plan.Track record of successful interaction with all levels of an organization especially with leaders and operators in collaborative work teams.Proven collaboration with a variety of departments including Finishing, Technical, Marketing, Research, Engineering Services, and Plant Reliability.Strong written and verbal communication, planning, and organization skills.Proven ability to build strategic and practical plans to support a business vision.
