Area Manager of Automation & Process Control

WCI Steel, Inc. is an integrated flat-rolled steel producer located in Warren, Ohio. Applicants are being sought for an Area Manager of Automation & Process Control.

 

EDUCATION: BS Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or a related field

 

EXPERIENCE:  Minimum of 2 years of industrial experience. Must have PLC and Drive Systems background; experience with G.E. 90/70, 90/30, AB Control Logic, Alstom Alspa 80MT PLC’s is preferred. Level 2 experience, physics background and Lean Six Sigma Certification are a plus.

 

DUTIES:  Focus on the development and implementation of Level 1 and Level 2 process automation systems for the Hot Strip Mill. Design and implement programs to reduce delays, cycle time, rejects, rework and cost. Increase production, yield, and equipment reliability. Must participate, and lead safety as required by WCI and Hot Strip Mill departmental safety polices.
