About the Opportunity:

We are looking for an experienced Assembler to work at our corporate headquarters in Orlando, FL. In this position you will be a part of a team representing Sypris Test & Measurement by technical expertise to meet our customer's requirements. The work environment is fast-paced and high-energy.

 

Hours: Monday through Friday 6:30am – 3pm

 

Position Summary:

Performs duties to assemble a range of magnetic measurement devices involving measuring, fitting, soldering and making connections, complying with instructions and prescribed routines, methods or procedures and involving the making of minor decisions.

 

Essential Functions:

  Work from instructions, diagrams, schedules, and samples. Receive kit and assembly instruction to perform electrical or mechanical sub-assembly or final assembly operations. Measure and cut wires to length, install defined parts in specified position and orientation, and make required solder connections. Mix epoxies as required to pot parts, or secure parts in place. Position parts and align as necessary. Test parts before or after assembly as required by instructions to ensure compliance within specified limits. Enter production data to computer system to track labor and scrap by job. Place completed assemblies on cart for next operation.



Qualified candidates will meet the following requirements:

  U.S. Citizen or U.S. Permanent Resident Status required. High School Diploma or equivalent experience. Minimum of 1 year experience with soldering and mechanical assembly. Excellent attention to detail. Excellent dexterity skills. Basic computer skills (Word). PCB experience a Plus. Experience and ability to work with Epoxies Conformal Coat. Experience working with documented procedures / drawings / diagrams / instructions / schedules and samples.
