Project Engineering Sup Skills Required: Assembly Manager, Valve and Pumps Job Description: Assembly Manager - Valves and PumpsAre you an Assembly Manager experienced with Valve and Pump systems? In this growth position you will provide leadership, influence, and direction for our Assembly and Production activities. We are not offering a relocation package at this time.What You Need:~ BS degree in a technical discipline (engineering degree preferred) -- No Exceptions -- Master's degree or equivalent skills and experience is encouraged. ~ 5-10 years of experience in Management ~ 5 - 10 years of experience in manufacturing and assembly ~ Familiar with laws and procedures related to employment. What You'll Be Doing:~ Developing a Team; evaluates performance and progress of direct reports and makes compensation recommendations ~ Establishing objectives and development goals ~ Accountability (Quality, Cost, Delivery) ~ Planning / Prioritization - Participates in the identification and prioritization of engineering group opportunities. ~ With team, utilizes advanced problem solving tools and techniques (i.e. DOE,DPS, statistical methods, etc.) for root cause analysis. ~ Standardization / Efficiency - Develops and promotes the utilization of and adherence to corporate practices (ex. Project Management, Process Control Tools, Lean Tools, etc.) ~ Communication with internal customers to ensure project requirements are universally understood to enable the effective deployment of resources in the highest priority areas. ~ Ensures service goals by communicating progress regularly through management updates, team meetings and monthly reports. ~ Establish departmental budget targets, analyze variances, and identify cost reduction opportunities. ~ Corrective Actions - Oversee the effective management of the corrective action process, ensure proper priority, ownership, and accountability for adding and closing all corrective actions, while providing assistance to the corrective action owners to ensure effectiveness. Facilitate the Corporate Corrective Action Review Board (CARB). Report progress to Continuous Improvement Board. ~ Communication - Develop and conduct effective corporate wide quality assurance awareness programs Department ~ Staffing - Maintain appropriate staffing levels. Balance resource capacity to workload based on the implementation of efficient best practices. ~ Budgeting - Manage group budget. Work with department supervisors to establish budgets, meet budget targets, analyze variances, and identify cost reduction opportunities. ~ Standardization / Efficiency - Continually look for ways to improve methods and documentation for all business processes related to quality. ~ Planning / Prioritization - Assist with strategic quality planning for the organization.
