Assembly Supervisor

Principal Accountabilities:

Reports directly to Operations Manager

Supervise approximately 25-30 workers in 12 med – high volume assembly lines.

Responsible for a safe work environment and promote safety awareness.

Take ownership and responsibility for quality expectations of customers and work in ISO /  TS16949 automotive environment

Work to production schedule and adjust as necessary to meet customer requested delivery dates. Maintain 95% + on time delivery.Release work orders to floor

Responsible for production line efficiencies and producing at rate

Perform semi-annual performance reviews for all reports

Manage and control daily activities of reports

Perceive and implement continuous improvement in area of responsibility

Collect and post performance documentation. Collect data for daily accountability meeting. Qualifications:


  Must have minimum 3 years supervisory experience in a high paced ever changing manufacturing environment

Must have working knowledge of MRP-II (PRMS)

Willing to work hands on

Very good MS Excel skills strongly preferred

Ability to work in a team oriented environment

Must embrace Continuous Improvement Process – Green belt certification a plus

Excellent communication skills

Bilingual with Spanish a big plus

Willing to work a 5am start time, some OT, and infrequent ½ days on Saturday
