Barnes Aerospace also provides rapid jet engine component overhaul and repair services for many of the world's major commercial airlines, the U.S. military and engine OEMs. BASIC JOB DESCRIPTION / DUTIES:·  Complete full and sub-assemblies per manufactures’ documentation including drawings and certifications.·  Interfaces with Manufacturing Engineering and Quality Control on processing issues and works within a team environment to develop a “capable” process.·  Able to read, interpret and integrate all processes to ensure consistent, capable parts and assemblies in a production environment.  ·  Make all types of required machine / process adjustments, tooling, fixturing, to set-up and maintain required manufacturing consistency per MOT and customer order specifications in a production environment.  ·  Quality delegation expanded to all basic measuring tools i.e. calipers, micrometers, drop indicators, and comparators including visual inspection of parts.  ·  May trouble shoot variation in process with assistance from Manufacturing Engineering.·  Meets and exceeds targeted production and quality goals·  Practice safe work habits, maintain clean working environment, performs routine preventative maintenance and other duties as directed by Team Leader.·  Continuously builds technical skills in area of expertise·  Perform other duties as required. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:· 1 + years mechanical and/or electronic assembly experience. Formal training or training by a “certified” person in balancing practices, principles and operations. Ability to read geometrical / dimensional mechanical drawings. Competency in use of precision measuring instruments.  High mechanical ability and a quality mentality, High School or equivalent education, willingness to learn, lead, adapt and change with technology, positive cooperative attitude, flexibility in hours and consistency in attendance.
