ASSEMBLY TECHNICIANWith at least 2 years experience with electro/mechanical assemblies and a minimum of 5 years experience as a direct assembler with major OEM, the successful, self-motivated applicant will install components into sub assemblies and finished assemblies.

Specifically, the Assembly Technician will: Assemble, test and trouble shoot electronic and mechanical subassemblies and electro-mechanical equipment. Provide feedback and assist in developing test procedures and documentation. Train Apprentice Equipment Assembly Technicians. Work with little supervision. Comply with and ensure department compliance with company health, safety and environmental policies. Perform other duties as required.

Requirements include: High school diploma/equivalent. Several years experience in manufacturing, either in direct assembly or support function of assembly, preferred. Basic understanding of x-ray and radiation safety. Solid understanding of fundamental assembly operations, labor times/tool requirements, station setup. Ability to assist Engineering with new designs and layouts. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs when required.
