General Description
Assist in the management of the product development process. Act as a liaison between merchant group, design team and overseas offices in development and manufacturing process.
Position Responsibilities
- Partner with Sr. Sales and Merchandising to help execute account-specific projects for the Accessories Division, specifically focused on the Target business
- Communicate with overseas offices in relation to Product Development and Design instructions, customer requested changes and related production matters
- Prepare for account presentations
- Understand technical design and details and communicate changes necessary to overseas offices
- Manage sample coordination by initiating orders, tracking shipments, insuring timely delivery, ticketing, logging, storage and archiving
- Create and maintain all departmental information books and files to include designs, system setup, design approvals, lab dips, color approvals, etc.
- Ensure adherence to customer’s product development calendars, identify problems and offer solutions
- Initiate all design requests, sample ordering and pricing
- Track all phases of development including samples, pricing, required documents.
Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree required
- 3+ years experience in merchandising and or manufacturing.
- Ability to prioritize multiple projects without sacrificing attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal – position requires direct contact with account, China offices and internal development teams
- Organizational skills and attention to detail – candidate should have the ability to work on multiple projects and follow through with product execution
- Strong sense of urgency and accountability, proactive approach
- Microsoft Office proficiency
