Assistant Production Supervisor

Branstrator Sunrooms, a leading manufacturer of high quality sunrooms, has an immediate need for an energetic, experienced, employee focused Assistant Production Supervisor. 

 

Branstrator Sunroom produces custom sunrooms from our manufacturing facility on the south side of Fort Wayne and distributes them to our accounts throughout selected regions of the United States. 

 

We are looking for a highly self-motivated, team player who has excellent communication skills and can motivate their employees to do their very best everyday. 

 

Primary Job Functions

·  Supervisor the day to day as well as long term functions on the production floor

·  Run production as necessary

·  Develop and maintain relationships with and between associates

·  Lead, direct and motivate associates to perform to the best of their ability

·  Ensure plant safety rules are being maintained and followed

·  Read process books and blue prints for product specifications

·  Audit process books for discrepancies in written procedure and practiced procedure

·  Schedule associates’ production each day

·  Ability to run any and all machines/assemblies in the area

·  Prioritize production to meet production schedule dates

·  Assist Production Supervisor in associate’s performance appraisals

·  Perform quality inspections/checks and make quality decisions

·  Determine and follow-up on material needs and shortages

·  Advise in associate discipline and/or counseling sessions

·  Coordinate on the job training for new associates

·  Coordinate cross training within department

·  Perform other essential duties as assigned by supervisor

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required to Perform the Duties of the Job:

·  2 – 4 years prior production supervision experience

·  Extensive knowledge of production/fabrication procedures

·  Strong interpersonal skills

·  Strong ability to multi-task and organization skills

·  Ability to motivate associates

·  Strong mechanical aptitude

·  Excellent blueprint reading skills

 

Physical Demands

·  Must be able to walk/stand/see/hear/speak constantly

·  Must be able to sit occasionally

·  Must be able to lift/carry/push/pull up to 75 lbs. occasionally

·  Occasional kneeling/crouching/stooping/crawling/climbing
