Assistant Quality Control Manager

Our client has been a leading supplier in high-quality specialty fasteners since 1975. Their facilities span over 110,000 square feet and their versatile machines provide next-day manufacturing, even on custom orders. Our client is in need of an Assistant Quality Manager who is able to work in a Quality Assurance Department for a metal manufacturing company.  The candidate should have the following Quality Control expereince:

 

-Must have experience with metal products such as steel, aluminum, bolts, fasteners.

-Upgrading and ensuring the compliance of the quality system to comply with ISO 9001 certification.

-Employee training.

-Work closely with customers, internal departments & suppliers

-Return paperwork processing & document tracking

-Customer complaint follow through & tracking

-Set up studies on rejects from suppliers, customers or internal departments

-Take care of complaints from suppliers, customers or internal departments

-Has extensive experience working with clients and suppliers

-Prepare ISO required non-conformance reports for supplier returns and internal non-conformances

-Destructive or Non-Destructive testing for: Tension to the point of failure and Hardness of material

-Documenting findings from testing

 

Candidates should have:

-Previous Quality Control & testing experience including non-destructiive and destructive  with a manufacturing company

-Ability to use measurement tools: ruler, micrometer, caliper, gage control, gage calibration

-SPC, FMEA, PPAP experience

-ASQ –American Society for Quality Training/Certification

-Experience with an ISO 9000 (OR QS 9000, TS 16949, ISO 17025) company

-Experience with “Corrective Action Process” software/procedures

-Experience in reading blueprints, statistics, and geometric tolerance

-Good English skills – reading & writing

-Computer comfort – for entering in findings (word / excel)
