Position Description:

TitleAssociate Director, Non-Book and Novelty Product, Manufacturing PlanningResponsibilitiesWork with the Editorial Groups of different Scholastic businesses to develop non-book and novelty product. Business groups include: Education, Trade, Book Clubs, Scholastic Entertainment, and Continuities.Keep abrest of the marketplace by regularly visiting book, toy and craft stores. Research and develop overseas and domestic vendors for future procurement initiatives and to originate product ideas. Visit China once per year to me with suppliesServe on Print and Bind, Premium and Electronics Commodity Councils.Manage staff of Planners to develop and estimate new product.Liaison with Supply Chain and Manufacturing Prepress to ensure product is manufactured accurately and as scheduled.Keep current on new processes and ways to lower costs

Qualifications:
