Audit Supervisor Position Summary:Participate and provide review and supervision to lower level staff members in the performance of various audit department assignments which include evaluation of internal controls, financial verification, compliance with local and corporate policies and procedures, operational reviews and special projects.  Provide some assistance in overall department planning. Scope/Supervision and Interaction:Work with Division, Group, Sector, Corporate Management and external auditors. Essential Functions:Under general guidance of the Manager or Director of Audit Services: - Direct and review audit projects to see that professional standards are maintained in theplanning, execution and accumulation of evidential matter. - Review and edit audit reports and, in company with the auditor-in-charge for the assigned project, discuss the reports with appropriate management. - Assist in evaluating overall results of internal audits. - Participate in entrance and exit conferences. - Assist in the coordination of Deloitte & Touche audit work. - Provide flow of communication between operating management and Director of Auditing Services. - Provide assistance in recruiting, selecting, training, evaluating and supervising of staff  personnel. - Develop or revise department policies and audit programs. - Encompass all responsibilities of Audit Senior. Qualifications:- Masters degree or professional certification required -- Bachelors or Masters degree in some discipline of Business with a Masters degree preferred. -- Professional Certification/CPA, CMA, CPIM or CIA preferred. - 7+ years accounting or business experience, prefer Public and Corporate audit experience, Financial Management experience, and at least two years of supervisory experience. - Ability to work in a complex environment under general direction as to assignment with minimal review.  Sound knowledge of audit and accounting concepts are necessary.  Additional training is anticipated for operational or EDP needs only.  The above description is not intended to be an all inclusive list of duties and responsibilities.  It is intended to describe the general nature of the position. Additional Comments:The essential functions have been provided as examples of the type of work performed by employees assigned to this job classification.
