Auditor

Altria Client Services, Inc. a professional service organization of the parent company Altria Group, Inc, has an immediate need for a highly qualified Auditor for our Audit dept. in Richmond, VA.Position Specific Duties
An essential function of this position is the ability to handle significant amounts of stress in a high pressure environment, including but not limited to, the inherent nature of the work, the impact on or accountability for decision making, the requirement that work/projects be completed within tight time frames/deadlines, completing multiple assignments/projects simultaneously, handling confidential or sensitive information, the high volume of work, and the ability to travel and work long hours as neededResponsible for the quality of audits. Evaluates the effectiveness of internal controls and operating practices within affiliates and operating companies including the safeguarding of assets and the economic and efficient use of company resources.Determines compliance with policies and procedures.Reports on deviations uncovered.Develops audit findings and assists in the preparation of reports on the results of audits, including recommendations for improvements in policies, procedures, and methods and communicate to operating company and senior corporate management.Prepares adequate work papers of audits conducted to provide sufficient documentation of work performed.QualificationsExperience/Skills
Full knowledge of accounting on a college level.Familiarity with audit techniques, theories and standards.Three or more years of hands-on experience in accounting and/or auditing function acquired in public accounting and/or private industry.To apply for this position, please click here
