Bindery Associate

JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for completing all finishing services for press and digital printing projects in compliance with job specifications and in accordance with company quality standards and procedures.  Prepares the workload schedule to meet customer timeframe requirements.  Performs daily/weekly/monthly maintenance on all bindery equipment to ensure optimum output.  Works closely with other team members to exceed customer satisfaction and service expectations. As the Bindery Operator and a member of the Production Team, you are accountable for meeting the department production and quality goals, as well as playing a key role in meeting company-wide profitability and customer satisfaction goals: ¨ Guarantee satisfaction and value for customers.¨ Contribute to a work environment that fosters pride in being part of a winning team and promotes personal growth.¨ Maintain personal productivity and quality standards that make possible attractive financial returns so that the company may continue to provide excellent service to our customers and potential career growth to our staff. Because you are in contact with associates, customers and vendors, and in a key position for guaranteeing their satisfaction, this position requires confidentiality, tact, sensitivity, and professionalism. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:  ¨ Perform all bindery functions as noted on work order/job tickets.  This may include, but is not limited to, folding, cutting, padding, numbering, punching, binding, hand collating, scoring, perforating, drilling, stitching or stapling, laminating and wrapping.¨ Process handwork assembly according to specifications.¨ Package jobs, complete work orders, tickets, and delivery receipts as necessary and place in their assigned area.¨  Coordinate with Production Team to produce and prioritize jobs, and when necessary reorganize to meet deadline changes and updates. ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:  ¨ Clean and maintain equipment and work area following maintenance procedures and update maintenance logs.¨ Monitor and manage inventory of bindery supplies.  Order and stock supplies as instructed by supervisor.¨ Inform supervisor of equipment problems.¨ Comply with all OSHA safety requirements.¨ Participate as a key player in the Production Team by supporting operations as needed.¨ Communicate effectively with the Plant Manager, Production Manager, Client Care Team, and Production Team informing and updating them regularly to guarantee that both sales and customer objectives are met.¨ Follow systems and procedures outlined in company manual.  JOB SPECIFICATIONS:  ¨ High school or GED equivalent preferred.¨ Strong interpersonal skills.¨ Requires good mathematical skills and attention to detail.¨ Ability to apply written instruction to machine set-up and maintenance.¨ Ability to move freely throughout the building to gather information, materials and authorizations.  Company: Standard Register Location: Phoenix, AZ 85284 Status: Full Time, Employee Job Category: Manufacturing/Production/Operations Relevant Work Experience: Less than 1 Year Company: Standard Register Reference Code: 2169
