ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

·  Maintains and promotes a safe working environment – Daily

·  Trains, evaluates and, if necessary, disciplines team members – Weekly

·  Organizes, coordinates and promotes productivity – Daily

·  Demonstrates a working knowledge of all bindery operations – Daily

·  Ensures company quality requirements are being met and exceeded – Daily

·  Possesses good verbal and written communication skills – Daily

·  Actively strives to meet and exceed both internal and external customer expectations – Daily

·  Other duties as assigned.

 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This job supervises: Operator, Coordinator, Cover Feeder, General Worker and Temporary Workers.

 

Approximately 35 employees report directly to this job.

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.  Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.  Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

 Mathematical Skills

Ability to add, subtracts, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.  Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

 

Reasoning Ability

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Frequent talking and/or hearing. Regular standing; walking; and lifting of up to 10 pounds. Occasional sitting; use of hands to handle, press or feel; reaching or grasping with hands and arms; climbing or balancing; stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling; and lifting of up to 50 pounds.Requires close, distance, color and peripheral vision.

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Frequent work near moving mechanical parts.  Occasional exposure to fumes or airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicals.  Loud noise.
