DescriptionSUMMARY: Responsible to Supervise daily activities in the Bindery Area to ensure efficient production of quality product, delivered on-time. Active in controlling costs, improving efficiencies and improving processes RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Responsible for successful operation of Bindery, Automated and Manual Inserting. Makes work assignments and schedules hourly personnel to ensure commitments are met and labor costs are controlled. Makes adjustments as necessary. 2. Works with staff to further develop their skills and proficiency in operating independently. Responsible to evaluate daily volume and makes work assignments to ensure turnaround commitments are met. 3. Ensures product meets or exceeds client quality expectations. Promotes, participates in, enforces, and supports the Quality Management System (ISO9001). Continuously seeks to improve processes and eliminate product and process non-conformances. Defines and documents process in Procedures and Work Instructions. Trains Employees. Regularly audits product and processes in the Finishing Area. 4. Ensures area is a safe environment for employees. Seeks to reduce or eliminate accidents. Continuously seeks to improve housekeeping and physical appearance of the facility 5. Continuously seeks to improve efficiency of the department. Monitors production and staff activities, makes adjustments, and assigns resources as needed. Makes recommendations to change processes to improve efficiencies. 6. Acts as on-site expert and resource for mailing practices. Ensures compliance with postal regulations and is in regular contact with USPS. 7. Seeks opportunity to improve skills and knowledge. Participate in external and company sponsored training and development programs, using the skills learned on the job. 8. Other tasks as assigned. Required SkillsREQUIREMENTS: (Specific knowledge, skills, education and abilities): High School Degree required. Five years experience working in a production, bindery, inserting, or printing environment. Personal Computer proficiency .  Communication, problem solving, and leadership skills.
