Black Belt/ Process Improvement Specialist

We are a local coil coating line in the Birmingham area with an immediate opening for a Process Improvement Specialist.  The qualified candidate will be responsible for leading Six Sigma activities for the facility, identifying projects to improve plant yield, safety, productivity, efficiency and cost goals. Six Sigma tools and resources will be used daily. The qualified applicant will be responsible for leading and developing cross functional teams to ensure results are improved and sustained. The Process Improvement Specialist will provide support to all departments and conduct training and employee coaching.

Qualifications: BS degree with 3-5 years of training and experience. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Knowledge of the Microsoft office suite which includes word, excel and power point. This position will require heavy use of Microsoft excel and power point for analyzing data and creating charts and graphs.
