Position Summary:

Provide strategic support and sourcing excellence as a member of the Global Procurement Organization’s Capital and MRO Indirect Team. Conduct and execute sourcing strategies and provide commercial leadership for major Capital purchases with the Product Supply Organization.

• Interface with Business, Engineering, and Manufacturing partners to provide commercial leadership and execution for major Capital expenditures.
• Conduct the RFx, bid analysis, negotiations, PO creation, contracting, and awarding of work to key contractors and suppliers.
• Comprehend, evaluate, and provide feedback on technical specifications provided for manufacturing equipment, construction, and consulting services, ensuring inclusion of all appropriate commercial aspects.
• Create RFxs using e-sourcing tools to solicit and analyze supplier proposals.
• Provide guidance or coaching to Manufacturing and Corporate Buyers at multiple locations, ensuring adherence to corporate Procurement policies and practices.
• Create and evaluate business opportunities to maximize cost savings, while ensuring delivery of the best quality and service
• Engage with Suppliers at all levels and represent Clorox during sourcing and negotiation efforts.
• Create and manage strategic relationships with key suppliers. Implement effective supplier performance improvement measures to achieve targets.

Budgets & Span of Control
• Execute Strategic Sourcing, and full Contracting for individual purchases in excess of $1MM, and manage workload of annual purchases in excess of $25MM



Required Qualifications:
• BS degree in Business or Engineering with training or courses in Procurement
• 3+ years of supply chain related industry or Procurement experience
• Experience in the consumer packaged goods industry preferred
• Experience in Project Management and/or Procurement of Capital Equipment and Services

Required Skills and Abilities:
• Strong analytical skills and understanding of MS Office Tools.
• Experience with e-sourcing tools and SAP is desired.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment, and as an individual contributor
• Well rounded understanding of technology, operations and business processes
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Strong influencing / negotiation skills
• Attention to detail with ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects
• Ability adapt to changing priorities.
