Buyer Planner (3185)

Location Germantown MDJob Responsibilities Responsible for obtaining materials, components, equipment, and services.  Checks requisitions, obtains quotations, examines bids, and make awards.  Develop new supply sources where vendors and suppliers are inadequate. Coordinate purchasing activities with manufacturing and engineering departments to maintain inventory at planned levels. Monitor cost, schedule, and scope of assigned subcontracts to assure best quality at best value, as needed. Evaluate vendor reliability, as needed. Experience/Skills Required BS/BA or equivalent experience required.  Minimum of 4 years experience in a procurement/subcontracts in an MRP/ERP environment. Strong computer skills, Oracle highly preferred.
