International manufacturer located in the Asheville, North Carolina area is seeking an experienced Buyer for their facility. A four year degree is required, Technical or Business preferred. Three to five years of selecting, developing and managing supply base for exisiting production material and new products is required, with emphasis on maintaining competitive pricing, cost reductions and quality and supplier delivery performance within a manufacturing environment. Global sourcing experience is also needed. Strong negotiation and communication skills are required with a CPM or CPIM certification preferred.Must have experience with AS/400 and MS Vista are required to perform duties successfully. Project is 6 months or longer in duration.
