C&I Marketing Manager

This position is responsible for executing the Commercial & Industrial unit's marketing plans for the temporary power and food & beverage markets in the U.S. and Mexico Major Functions:  Execute the vertical marketing programs for Temporary Power (TP) and Food & Beverage (F&B) with direction from the Director – C&I Marketing For the TP and F&B verticals, understands the needs (product, pricing, delivery, & communications) of each C&I sales channel component (field sales, distribution, end user) Works with C&I Marketing Communications Manager to develop the necessary Spanish language materials according to delivery schedule Monitors and measures the effectiveness each month of all TP and F & B marketing programs Proposes adjustments or re-tooling of marketing programs to maximize effectiveness.  Includes new communication methods, new media or tradeshows, product adjustments, new products, altered pricing, and channel modifications Works with Director and Mktg. Comm. Mgr. to coordinate product introductions crucial to the TP and F&B verticals Works with Marketing Managers from other Leviton business units to include products necessary for the TP and F&B vertical markets Participates in C&I tradeshows and off-site safety seminars as necessary Identifies field sales and end user training requirements necessary to pursue TP and F&B verticals for US and Mexico. Works with Director and Mktg. Comm. Mgr. to develop and implement training materials for both audiences Skills & Abilities:  Excellent writing and communication skills required Must have good organization/project management skills Must posses technical writing skills Must be proficient in MS Word, MS Excel and PowerPoint Must have polished presentation skills for both small and medium size groups  Education & Experience:  Technical degree, BS or BE preferred 3+ years experience creating technical marketing communications and market development programs directed to industrial end users required Prior experience with electrical, power transmission & linear motion, or stock shapes industries is a plus Travel:    30% - Must be willing to travel domestically and to Mexico We offer an excellent benefits & compensation package, including 100% tuition reimbursement, on-site training & development, and a company paid pension plan!  **We will be moving to Melville, Long Island**  Leviton is an AA/EEO employer.
