CAC Analyst – Hazlet, NJ

In this position, the individual will be responsible for supporting the needs of the CAC Coordinator and performing a variety of duties in support of analyzing, monitoring and maintaining IFF Capital Management Process in a timely and accurate manner. This individual should be someone who can work independently with little supervision and be pro-active. 

 

Key Responsibilities include: 

 

• Coordinate CAC review for all “A” level ($250+) and unbudgeted capital appropriation requests, including capital budget comparison and corporate policy analysis. Also, review all “B” Business Unit projects ($50K - $250K to ensure that the appropriate committed and allotted funds are managed appropriately.

 

• Review CAR content and ROI to ensure that financial figures are accurate and aligned with the overall Capital Bulletin policies.

 

• Maintain an update tracking mechanism by Business Unit of all approved funds and spending versus the approved budget and ensure that all unbudgeted projects are substituted with budgeted projects.

Provide Management with a monthly report by Business Unit of the totals for the month.

 

• Monitor, troubleshoot and provide user instruction for Lotus Notes CAR Workflow database.

 

• Collect and analyze reports (monthly progress, closure and follow-up) in support of corporate capital policy, for designated current capital projects over $500,000. Follow up on report discrepancies to obtain accurate information and insure that projects are tracking within the approved amount and Bulletin policies; enter summary information into Access database; and provide CAC members with

project reports on a quarterly basis.

 

• Analyze and audit individual affiliate quarterly capital spending reports; compare to approved capital budget and reconcile spending amounts to Hyperion report. Follow up on report discrepancies and obtain accurate information.

 

• Provide management with various analyses of historical capital spending by location, division, business unit. Etc.

 

• Schedule and prepare quarterly CAC meetings, including preparation and distribution of CARs, agenda and minutes and various data analysis.

 

• Assist in issuing yearly revision of capital budget accounting bulletins. Process incoming annual capital budgets; assist in production of detailed and summary presentation binders for CAC members.

 

• Assist in the scheduling and coordination of Post-completion Audits to be presented to the CAC in accordance with IFF policies and guidelines. Confirm that financial figures are accurate.

 

• Work very closely with critical Business Unit leaders VP, Directors, CFO, CIO and other Corporate VPs on a global basis.  

 

REQUIREMENTS: 

 

Essential: Candidate must have a BS degree in Business Finance, Accounting, Administration, or equivalent. Strong Skills in Microsoft Office Suite, expert in Excel, Analytical skills and Business Acumen required. Strong SAP knowledge a plus. Good math and analytical skills are essential. Ability to work under pressure, while prioritizing objectives in response to rapidly changing work assignments. Maintains strict confidentiality of information handled while performing all duties. Ability to work independently, with little supervision. Excellent verbal, written and communication skills; detail oriented; highly motivated; takes initiative in solving problems.
