CAD Modeler/Detailer

Direct Conveyors specializes in the design and assembly of low profile conveyors.  These conveyors make use of a wide range of conveyor surfaces.  We provide drawings to our customers for their concepts and modify our standard selection to fit their applications.

Job Description:

A CAD Modeler/Detailer works with Inventor 3D Modeling software providing details for assembly, parts manufacturing and customer layouts.  This process requires a detailed approach to tracking drawings and information and disseminating concept models into manufacturing parts and assemblies.

General Duties and Responsibilities:
Communicate with engineering on concepts and produce detailed prints for manufacturing Produce main and sub-assembly drawings for manufacturing Communicate with assembly for updates and changes Maintain drawing release integrity and standards documentation Get along well with others from all aspects of manufacturing Ability to work independently as well as take direction on policies and procedures


Requirements:

Associates Degree in Graphical Communications or similar Inventor knowledge a real plus Strong mechanical design ability Ability to quickly break down assemblies into distinct parts in order to develop assembly prints Strong technical drawing skills in 3D modeling Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office products Industry experience of 2-5 years
