CEO, Venture-Backed Company

Morgan Samuels Company has been retained by a recently funded technology manufacturing company to find a CEO with extensive experience working at the highest strategic levels of an organization within a highly regarded technology or manufacturing company.

This position is a career defining opportunity to build and drive a company positioned for explosive growth. The ideal candidate is one who would embrace the challenge of transforming a company with revolutionary technologies into a world class manufacturer.


Our client is an internationally recognized leader in advanced thermal control, sound reduction, and DC power management technologies. As both a manufacturer and R&D center, our client specializes in solving complex problems in new and innovative ways. Particular expertise includes refrigeration, air conditioning, thermal insulation, acoustic insulation, BLDC motors and drive systems, DC power generation and distribution systems.

The company recently closed a significant round of financing from a top venture capital firm and is taking steps to dramatically expand its production capabilities to respond to a higher than expected demand for its integrated energy platform, a system that enables its generators to adjust the amount of energy created depending on the devices they are supplying.


QUALIFICATIONS: The ideal candidate will be:

- An outstanding executive leader with proven managerial abilities, organizational talent, team building, and well-developed sales, negotiation and communication skills.
- A seasoned executive, with at least 15 years of relevant experience in the manufacturing and technology sector.
- An experienced relationship driver with the initiative to create and cultivate deep global OEM partnerships.
- Experienced with world-class manufacturing and continuous improvement programs, including Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma implementation.
- An advocate of performance management, continuous improvement and best practice approaches.
- A fact-based, data-driven, decision maker, being numerate and used to collecting, analyzing, and utilizing information and data.
- A Change Agent, using management analytics and financial information to drive operational and organizational change.

Additionally, the ideal candidate will have:

- A demonstrated track record in highly regarded technology or manufacturing organizations.
- Superior communication skills with the ability to lead and influence others, achieving buy-in, commitment and forming strong working relationships with each business unit
- Intellectual drive, intensity, professional impact, and personal values that complement the existing management team.
- Ability to make decisions in a rapidly changing environment, achieving quality results in challenging conditions.

EDUCATION: An undergraduate degree in business or a technical field is required. A masters degree a plus.
