CMU Rooftop Design Engineer

Position purpose:
Design, develop and qualification of CMU packaged rooftops and its major sub-section and their related sub-assemblies.

Key job requirements/responsibilities:
Responsible for the design & development of new rooftop products and/or several components of a project or a complex component of a larger project
Provide leadership and co-ordination with other development team members (Engineers, Designers, Lab technicians & Model Makers)
Demonstrated creativity in new product design
Strong working knowledge of the products, engineering design system and the ability to work within an engineering design team
Working knowledge of manufacturing fabrication and assembly methods


BA/BS degree w/4 (`37+ years experience
MA/MS degree w/2 (`35+ years experience
PhD degree w/0 (`32+ years experience


(a2 Knowledge & experience with the design & qualification of refrigeration systems, fan systems, controls systems, and Sheet metal cabinet design
(a2 Previous relevant job history experience, especially HVAC product design and/or product sustaining
(a2 Relevant products can be residential and/or commercial air conditioners (air cooled or water cooled), refrigerators, ice makers, refrigeration equipment, and commercial chillers
(a2 Strong communication skills with ability to interact within a cross functional team of engineering, manufacturing & marketing
