CNC Machinist, 2nd Shift

Set up and operation of diverse types of equipment used to manufacture various types of medical instruments/implants within established manufacturing processes, GMP's, and quality requirements.

• Set up and operation of diverse types of equipment
• Produces parts in accordance with the production plan provided by the manufacturing supervisor.
• Equipment used will be CNC Swiss turns, lathes, mills, and chuckers, as well as other secondary machines including, but not limited to, various types of grinders, drill presses, jack rabbits, buffers, mass finishers, etc.
• Optimizes production by performing secondary work such as deburring, vibratory, and any hand work as well as preparing for the next job, organizing and cleaning the cell, and helping others to do the same while machines are running.
• Performs first piece inspection and in-process quality checks.
• Performs preventative maintenance on a regular basis.
• Provides input to cell leader/supervisor to resolve quality problems and improve cell operations.
• Stays on task and within the cell to help meet or beat the team�s production requirements.
• Good math skills and working knowledge of metrics.
• Previous machine shop experience or experience with CNC lathes and mills.
• Swiss turn experience a plus.
• Performs other related duties, as required.

• Education and training normally associated with a High School Diploma.
