CNC Milling Operator-Special Tools

Sandvik Tooling, a world leader in tools and tooling systems for metal cutting, as well as components and high-volume blanks in cemented carbide is seeking CNC Milling Operators - Special Tools in Mebane, NC.

 

We are growing! These positions have been created due to the addition of new CNC Milling machines that have been added to the facility for special tools growth.

 

 

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

Duties include, but are not limited to:

· Program, set up, and operate milling machines as required.

· Reading blueprints and checking part dimensions with appropriate measuring instruments.

· Make adjustments for tool offsets and locating coordinates.

· Accurately use measuring tools, checking for proper calibration.

· Observing all safety practices and procedures - performing preventative maintenance and keeping machines lubricated.

· Following strict safety procedures in maintaining a neat and orderly work station.

· Production oriented, capable of producing high volumes of parts with exceptional quality. Perform in-process inspection of machined parts.

 

 

YOUR PROFILE

· High School diploma or GED required.

· At least 1 year of work experience on CNC Milling machine (4 axes CNC machine as minimum)

· Fluent in English for shop floor working.

· Ability to read drawing blue prints.

· Basic knowledge on G-codes and M-codes for purpose of machine set-ups

· Experience of using common measuring gages (e.g. Verniers, micrometers)

· Should have demonstrated positive attitude to colleagues and work environment in previous position / job

· Willing to take training & learn new skills and new methods of working

· Should be eligible to work in USA
