CNC Swiss Machinist

CNC SWISS SCREW MACHINIST needed.  Positions available in a high volume fast paced environment. Qualified candidate must have 3-5 years of set-up and operation experience. RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for setting up, troubleshooting and run production on Multi Axis screw machines and CNC Lathes
- Follows all work instructions as required by customer.
-Continuously develops and improves screw machine processes.
- Follows safety requirements as outlined in the safety manual.


JOB KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS REQUIRED:
- Must be able to work in a “team environment”
- Machining titanium, and medical grade stainless steels or other exotic alloys.
- Machining and handling parts smaller than 1/8” x 1/8”
- Setting up and running production on Swiss Style Screw Machines preferable Star, Tsugami,Citizen brand and Hardinge CNC Lathes.

-Sets up and operates CNC/Swiss type screw machine and lathes while working from production sheets to determine fixtures required, tools required and tool sequencing.
-Inspects first piece to determine accuracy of set-up. Inspects all parts produced to insure conformance to quality standard. Uses a variety of inspection instruments such as micrometers, plug gages, and special purpose gages.
-Performs other duties as required.
